In April 2021, Proxim wireless opened its United States production facility. The UL-certified assembly and test facility is based in San Jose, California.
The facility allows significant flexibility in sourcing and managing Proxim’s product mix. This flexibility enables a better customer experience by ensuring we can quickly deliver the appropriate product mix for their projects.
The US facility currently produces the entire range of Proxim 10000 series products, including the 10100, 10200, and our highly applauded Beam Steering 10250 series.
All products are assembled from globally and locally sourced components, and for the US Market, this allows for timely delivery of TAA compliant product1. The benefits are not limited to the North American market as we now serve our global markets from this facility.”
1 The Trade Agreements Act was enacted to govern trade agreements between the United States and foreign countries. One of the principal features of the Act is that it limits the US Government procurement to US-made products or products made in designated countries. The TAA is intended to foster fair and open international trade, and products that meet the TAA requirements are called “TAA compliant.” Currently, all Proxim 10000 Series Products are TAA compliant and, as such, can be used in GSA schedule contracts.
